Faith No More Ending Reunion Tour in Chile, no US Dates Announced.

How's everyone else feel about this? A band from the US plays a whopping 8 shows in the US on their reunion tour - 5 in California, 2 in NYC, and one in Philly - and then closes it out for good in Chile?

I saw em twice. Face melting/mindblowing.

BTW they announced a few California shows.

They were a band that I don't think got as much respect in America as they should have. The European and South American venues/fests REALLY wanted them. Hell the Brixton show sold out in under an hour, where as the Philly Show I went to still had seats. Brooklyn however sold out.

Its sad, yet on the other hand I am very very VERY grateful to have seen a band twice, that I never ever thought I would have a chance to see.

I did not know that Monkeys made Muffins. My cat can make you some mean bread, though.

Sorry, I meant no more US dates announced save for one small sold-out facebook-fan-and-twitter-follower-pre-sale-only-hyphenated Show in November.
No Atlanta, Boston, St. Louis, Seattle, no big cities. Just ****ing California and NY. I couldn't afford to go out of town for a concert - still can't, especially when it's as far away as the West Coast or Northeast.

********, man. I'd been waiting for years.

I guess it really pisses me off when a band says they're not reuniting for the money - but then pull a stunt like this and then it so obviously IS the money.

Thing is, FNM were always much better receieved in Europe and South America than stateside, and the whole band are Europhiles. It's much the same as Iron Maiden's SBiT tour: one UK date.

But anyone who can't get to see FNM is missing out on what would be the some of the greatets concerts they'll ever see.

"Throw me a frickin` bone,Faith No More. We`ve waited years for you guys." *Dr. Evil voice*

I saw them back in 1990 at the SF,California "Cow Palace". They were the openers on the Billy Idol CHARMED LIFE TOUR.
Awesome live act and some of the coolest live music to boot!

Skulletwhip, you are right about FNM`s being underrated here in the USA. The band was definately ahead of the times and in the vanguard of the "NuMetal" (?)the rap/metal fusion style that groups like KoRn, P.O.D., Limp Bizkit, System of a Down,311, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, etc.

But I agree, they should have had more domestic shows. *sigh*

When I think of a reunion I think of all members who were on the top selling albums so they never reunited as far as I'm concerned. Luckily I saw em decades ago.

Jim Martin quit on bad terms, and Chuck Mosely was invited back to sing with them on the tour alongside Patton.

Faith No More needed Jim Martin like they needed a tuba player. He was not an integral part of their sound, as awesome as he was.

It is a band who's sound is purely Patton, Roddy and Billy

If it were for the money, wouldn't they have crammed in as many dates at large cities as possible? I'm not sure how you can be sure it's about the money when you're lamenting the fact that they're only playing a few US dates.

Hey, they didn't have to reunite at all. If it were about the money, thy'd be on tour relentlessly until the tickets stopped selling. Plenty of bands have done these types of tours, on their own terms. Look at Tom Waits. Been waiting forever to see him. Prolly will never happen, as he seems to only tour the South, if ever.

DAMN TOM WAITS! HE'S ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY!

Bordin, too. The band's sound really didn't change when Hudson or Spruance was on guitar since the guitarist never wrote the songs.

Then why not play at least some small club shows in the US?
Why announce a world tour and say you'll announce a US leg for Summer 2010, and then...well, here we are?
