Each Dutch government falls at least once. This is the second time for government Balkenende already.
It's pretty usual this happens, nothing shocking.
It's the same here in Belgium.
I could explain why and give my opinion on this...
but that would be political and is not allowed.
As much as this thread is about politics and probably not allowed on TB.
Sorry Daniel. |

Sorry Daniel. | Actually, it's the 4th cabinet of Balkenende that falls. But this time it's because of international reasons, which is a first. |

They really shouldn't announce that the Dutch government "fell", it makes it sound like the entire democratic system failed, the country was plunged into lawlessness and a despotic tyrant is stepping in to power. All that happened were that some of the cabinet members resigned...

And because explaining how the Dutch system works is way harder than saying the government fell they do just that. Besides, the resigning of an entire party is a) very different to "some cabinet members resigning" and b) not something to be easy discarded since we now have no means of making ANY decisions on matters economical, law, social security, healthcare, etc. etc. |

Europ as a political entity is pretty much dead, killed by trade markets who want to keep the economical benefits of the union without being controlled by an unified European governement. |
