If you poke something with a stick and it moves to swat it away about an hour after it wakes up from it's nap, then chances are there's not exactly much fight left in the lump in the first place. |

And as results of my experimentation I can safely say that Fuller's, Bass, Abbott, Spitfire and the odd IPA are all perfectly safe for human consupmtion.
