The juice fast is meant to detox the body from the bad stuff, and replace that with the stuff one should be eating, fruits and veggies. If a person is already eating well I see no reason for the fast. Then I think some others do it as way to get their full servings of fruits and veggies, rather than just eating apples and carrots.

Looks like Craigslist may be the best option for getting a lightly used one on the cheap. I'll report back when I score.

I'm a hardcore vegan and I came across this thread trying to search for the vegetarian club... Anyone got a link?
I eat no animal products, as little processed food as possible (peanut butter and almond milk being the few exceptions), and nothin at all with added natural or artificial flavors or colors, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, MSG, or refined sugars.
If you think about it, humans evolved eating whole plants. That's what our body is for. I would also recommend Forks Over Knives if you guys liked this movie you're discussing. |

While I'm no vegan or vegetarian, I like making myself vege or vegan meals every now and then. I could see myself doing the ovo-lacto vegetarian jump easily, vegan on the other hand would be rough, I really love cheese. I just don't feel compelled to do one or the other. I've seen many of the documentaries and shock videos about farming, but no cookie, I'm not jumping on the wagon

Edit: For some reason I can't see the Veg Club page... My subscription ran out like two years ago, would that be a problem for a club thread? |
