This guy,

I only hope that in the same situation I could act fast enough to do the same for my kids.

And he was musician too!!!!

Whatever he did up until that point in his life is irrelevant. That single moment defines him as a hero in my book.

I feel for the family. What a tragic loss. The father is found under definition of hero though.

That's terrible. The part that makes me mad is that the person responsible probably doesn't care about anything other than the fact that he was caught. I hope the guilt eats him alive. He'll likely get a slap on the wrist and get to go do it all again

"Hero" is a term thrown around way too often in our society.

This guy deserves it though. What a tragedy for his kids.

My heart aches over this. Bravo to the Father, for doing every last thing he could, in such a selfless act. THAT is love. I pray the little girl will be ok. No family should have to endure this type of tragedy, let alone twice.

And the public will not let the idiot walk...one way or another. Vehicular homicide. No question. Lock the bastard up for life.

Wow. He is a true hero. Now those poor kids have to grow up without their Daddy.

Jail is too good for the other guy. He will probably get out in 5 years.

H-E-R-O. Period.

As a father, I would make the same move - assuming I could think that fast in the moment. Giving my life to protect my children is an easy call.

Just as there is a special place in Heaven* for the father, there is a special place in Hell* for the bastard that destroyed that family.

I don't know which I agree with more. Your comment or your disclaimer.
