Father's Day Tribute

Father's day is coming up. I dont know how many of you are from around the philly area, but on Preston and Steve this morning they did a segment on best advice you got from your father. It was half very serious and half ridiculous, but I thought why not keep it going.

What is the best advice you ever got from your father?

"don't tell your mother"

That usually preceded me being allowed a sip of beer, a box of baseball cards, a toy gun, etc etc.
It's what makes my dad rock

"Anyone can do it" when referring to pointless, classless things like peeing on the seat in public restrooms, vandalism, etc. It still keeps me from doing stupid things to this day.

This thread reminded me of one time when Dylan was receiving some kind of award. (Can't remember what it was, but it was quite awhile ago.)

Anyway, an obviously wasted Dylan decided to relate something that his father had told him. He started out, "It's like my father used to tell me..." Then he obviously lost his train of thought and couldn't remember what he was gonna' say. Finally, he just gave up and salvaged the situation by continuing, "...Well, my father used to tell me a LOT of things..." The audience was howling with laughter.
