Which one is your favorite ?
Nes, Snes, Saturn, Genesis, Dreamcast, Playsation 1, 2, 3, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360... and so on ?
-
My favorite has to be the Nintendo 64. I mean come on, the gap between the Snes and the 64 was huge. The introduction of the analog stick, memorable games such has Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Zelda : Ocarina of Time, Waverace, Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario 64.. What about the rumble pack ? The Transfer Pack ? The mysterious port underneath the console. (back then I had no clue what it was for.) The use of 4 controllers, the many colors.... list goes on

...But I get to open my Xbox 360 on the 25th... So we'll see. |

I started out with Pong!
Then I graduated to the late 70s early 80s Atari games (yes I bought ET)
Onto the VG resurrection with the NES and the SMS. I could finish Super Mario World with Mario facing backwards the entire time.
Then my fave, the 16 bit era. I had a SNES, a Genesis and a TG-16. Ha Do Ken!
32 bit was okay too. I owned all in Tekken and it's sequels (I always played as Kazuya).
I have all three 64 bit systems in my house right now (my fave is Xbox and the Splinter Cell games)
I am getting a 360 soon.
Yup, I maybe old but I am still a kid at heart.
My all time fave game is Super Street Fighter for the SNES. |

When Space Invaders first came out, our family had a shop with some consoles in it. After those stupid noises for hours on end, you learn to hate them. Now they're just boring.
I am proud to be a nerd though.

The N64 was great, and I had tons of fun with Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye in college, but I seriously think that the best games I've ever played have been on the 360 in the last year. Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect... all games that are firing on all cylinders: gameplay, storytelling, immersion, graphics, etc are all top-notch in these games.
2007 has seriously been just about the best year ever for videogames. Production values keep getting better (Bioshock, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4), storytelling keeps improving (Bioshock, Mass Effect), innovative gameplay mechanics hit us every few months this year (skate, Assassin's Creed, Metroid Prime 3)... It's a fantastic (and expensive!) time to be an avid gamer right now!

Me and my one friend played that game so much that we would know where the person would spawn again, and kill them before they could get a gun. Man, memories.
