Kenya to stay in Somalia until 'threat' is gone - World news

I feel for Kenya. It is not perfect, but certainly not a militaristic country. Kenyans fear getting stuck in a long fight with Somali radicals, but do they really have a choice?

I wonder if Tanzania will be drawn further into the mess, what with Pemba and Zanzibar being in the pirates sights. And I stand to be corrected, but having visited Tanzania several times, I doubt there are any more laid-back African countries.

not a good situation for Kenya at all.

But, I assume they are not on their own as my guess would be we (the USA, maybe Great Britain) are providing various logistical & other support.
