FedEx Help!!

Sign in to disble this ad
So I have a bass sitting somewhere in a FedEx truck....missed them this morning...and they went to my neighbors instead of my house yesterday..(using a rental van...which is why I never noticed)

so my questions are..will they attempt to deliver again today?
or
Will they hold it till tomorrow and come again to deliver?
or
Is it possible for me to just go pick it up somewhere today or tomorrow? (How do I do that??)

Oh Gurus of talkbass...share some knowledge!

Do you have the tracking number? If so, you can go to FedEx.com and see what the status is. It will tell you if they will be attempting another delivery again. If you don't have the tracking number, you should call them. Good luck.

so...the latest update is that I wasn't there and there was a delivery exception....so...I am assuming they aren't going to attempt to ship again today....is there someway for me to contact fedex and go pick it up?? I have no issue doing that...if possible..

hope someone knows..

It's possible, but it depends. I'm in an office complex where the FedEx guy comes a couple times a day. They rarely, if ever, do it for residential.

That's what they usually do.

Call FedEx with your tracking number or doortag number and you can arrange to have it held at the station for pickup. If you want to pick it up tonight, you will need to call first to see if it is possible.

call them

1-800-GO-FEDEX all your questions will be answered there.
Occasionally you can get them to come back the same day if they are willing/able to go to contact the driver. When calling FedEx press 0 (Zero) until you get a human being.

You get one shot with residential. I got a buddy who drives for FedEx. He was explaining to me they have a pretty tight schedule during the day, so they can't go back and try delivering things again in the same day. In a circumstance like Jives where it is an office complex, a couple visits per day is typical.

If there is a hub near you with a customer service counter, roll over there and talk to a CSR. They might be able to arrange for you to come pick it up when the driver returns at the end of the day. I repeat...they might.
