Today we in class having discussion about... something - I was spaced so didn't really know what - anyway the teacher asks my friend why he's messing with his iPhone and then something weird happened: Within' milliseconds of Mrs. Teacher asking the question I came up with some joke in my head, laughed at it, and then "felt the joke" come up through my gut and try to escape my mouth. I tried to stop myself before I said it because even though I laughed at it I knew it was pretty stupid, really stupid, and that I'd be embarrassing myself in front of the entire class (which was dead silent) but I couldn't. It just flew out! Luckily everyone laughed including the teacher but it was weird how I "felt" the entire process and even more so that I couldn't stop myself from doing something that I consciously knew I was about to do.
So yea... Thoughts?

Try me.

In relevance to the discussion, I empathize and understand where you are coming from regarding the incident in question. Give me an epoch of time to ponder it, and I shall return full of wisdom and comprehension.
How's that for my 17-year-old mental age?
Seriously, I do understand this. There are times when I look around, waiting for other people to capitalize on the joke before I take it, like looking at another driver before proceeding at a 4 way stop. It is positively palpable at times, but those times can be rare.
