Female Jealousy in the Workplace

I can't stand it. The sideways glances, the fake smiles, the talking in "code". And, my god, the whispering. All the damn whispering. I'm close to leaning out of my office and yelling "I can ******* hear you morons. Try EMAIL".

Most of this surrounds one poor woman who is the target. Her crime? Nothing work related. She works great. No one has ever said otherwise. No. She been the object of distain because (I can only assume) she's attractive. That's it.

There is a concerted effort on the part of the Old and Ugly to get her canned. They've slowly tightened the reins on her and I'm guessing are waiting for her to break one of the assinine rules that she has been saddled with that no one else has to deal with. We all work separate projects, so she isn't even aware that the new "rules" are hers and hers alone.

So anyway. That's all. I might go pee in someone's drink in the office refrigerator.

Yeah, ugly jealousy always happens. The worse combination I've witnessed is unattractive old women who've been working here for a long time, greeting the new, young, and of course more attractive intern.

I suggest you rick-roll all of their voice mails. Only sing it yourself along with the bass line. It wont do anything to remedy the situation, but it will make you feel better.

Women are far more vindictive towards each other in the workplace. One on one is bad enough. Three or four against one and I would consider getting her police protection.

Oh man, do I even know all about this one, I see it all the time.
The screwed up thing about it is that it's not only the classic "young attractive gal being targeted by the Ugly" etc, but it goes beyond looks.
I've seen it where if a gal is just simply genuinely happy in life the others will promptly set to work dismantling that happiness, if one wears a nicer dress then another, she will be a "slut" etc, it's just disturbing sometimes.

If the problem continues, I might have to fly down and flirt with this "attractive" woman in view of the "Old and Ugly". I am well aware that such an action will only serve to create more jealousy, but if my mirror is accurate, it just might make them so jealous that they are no longer jealous at all. Such a phenomenon(so [characteristic] that it's not) is admitedly rare and is most known for its occurance with the appearance of Troll Dolls(so ugly that they're cute), but I am very confident that it could work in this situation.

Absolutely. Place her in a position of more "power", a better social status, and the evil ugly become the sucker ugly. They too, are "in this". You know, they "get" it too.

Old, overweight, or unattractive women HATE the beautiful ones. They hate it even more when the attractive females show themselves off.

Hi.

Since childhood I've noticed that when two males of our species are dis-agreeing badly or jealous about something, the result is very brief. Physical confortation is often the course of action and that's that. Sometimes the battle is verbal, but brief none the less. Or the one that feels to be the underdog buys a fancier item or a foxier lay than the other one and the roles are reversed .

With females it's whole another ballgame. The mental violence is unbelievable. It starts in the kindergarden and stops when they draw their last breath. Perhaps it has something to do with the protective nature of the females among all species, they're just protecting their own environment from harm. That way being jealous for someone who's "got it made" would seem almost logical.

But why they have to be so god damn cruel? They drive their sisters to insanity and misery, just to secure their place or to prove a point. That is truly sad.

I hope it will someday change, but unfortunately I believe that behaviour is coded so deeply into our genes that it'll never go away.
