If you like science fiction, Baen has their free library thru www.webscriptions.net, and the contents of the various free books on CDs they have put out with some of their hardback books is available through www.baencd.thefifthimperium.com Both www.mobilereader.com and www.fictionwise.com have a mixture of free and pay books. All of these have most of their eBooks available in mobi

it's only been a few hours, and I already love it. I read most of my books on my PC anyway, so this was pretty much the perfect gift.

And now that has got me seriously considering getting a Kindle Fire for myself.
