Finding thread number

Sign in to disble this ad
After searching TB and finding a link to check out, what shows up in the search window is a TB reference to the specific post.

Like this: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...8#post10305458

Sometimes I want to bookmark the entire thread.

Maybe I'm slow or something but the only way I've found to get the thread link is to click on Thread Tools and then Show Printable Version. What is displayed near the top of the screen gives you the TB link and thread number for future reference.

Anyone know of another method?

Copy and past what shows up as the URL in your browser once you click on a thread.

I just click the little bookmark star and the thread bookmarks for me on Firefox.

On the URL, delete everything after the LAST # sign. So in your example delete #post10305458

At the top of the page between the toolbars, where it gives the path of the thread, right click on the little folder icon next to the page title and bookmark the link.

I guess I didn't explain myself well. It's not the actual bookmarking process that is the problem.

What I want to book mark is this(with the thread number):

www.talkbass.com/forum/printthread.php?t=731948

not this(with the post number):

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...8#post10305458

Once I've accessed a post directly, I found the "show printable version" the only way to find the thread number.

Anyways, just thought I'd ask. Thanks for replying.
