Finished my Masters!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I've spent the past four years pursuing an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts. I had to finish my Bachelors first so I've spent the last six years in school. So I've been in school now from age 45—51.

The past four years have been some of the hardest most trying in my whole life. But I got all the necessary signatures to submit my Thesis Paper and Video yesterday. I have a screening May 11th and Graduation May 16th.

It's been a long haul, but I'm finally finished!

Impress you. Huh? Gee, tall order I'm guessing.

My project was video so context is everything, particularly as the piece was as much about the sound design and music I wrote. But sure here goes two screen captures.

I just finished my Masters too. As a married dude with a family, I can empathize with this accomplishment at this stage in your life. It's not easy. We're all wired much better for this thing when we're younger. Congrats my friend.

The Master's is considered the terminal degree in arts.

Congrats on your achievement! Now you can be a professor so you don't have to starve to create your art!

As Liquid Midnight says the MFA is the terminal Degree in the Arts, but I've told my friends if I ever start talking about a PHD they should kill me.

James Bond? Never would have gone there in a million years. How so?

Congrats to you too! I wish I had done it earlier for so many reasons, but sometimes life takes its own course doesn't it?
What is your Masters in?

What is your Masters in?
I have a M.A. in Education. Cross Cultural Curriculum. I wrote my thesis on a school system that eliminates grade levels.
