So Firefox 4 came out and I really like it for the most part but it seems like there are these little things that are trying to stop me. This is actually my second time trying FF4 as my main browser since I was originally a Google Chrome guy.
The biggest problem is that the memory leak still seems to be around. I could literally leave Chrome open for days on end without any noticeable slow down. With FF4 after leaving it open for most of the day, there's some significant slow down happening. Luckily, this can be controlled by just closing Firefox and re-opening.
The worst and most annoying issue (to me anyway) is that if I'm on any webpage (as in, not the new tab screen) and I type a url into the address bar and hit enter it opens a new tab! Call me weird but it's completely maddening! Like it really is driving me crazy and I don't know how to stop it. I feel like I've looked everywhere for some sort of option to turn it off but I can find nothing. I even posted a question of on the Firefox forums a few days back and I've gotten no answer yet. Anyone wanna help me out here?

+1 to having a look at your Add-ons.

It was Tab Utilities that was causing the problem. Fixed it inside the Add-on so, luckily I don't have to get rid of it. Thanks!

As far as specific features, Incognito browsing would be a nice standard feature in FF but I'd really like Live Bookmarks in Chrome.

| | | | I refuse to upgrade to 4 because they switched the "new tab" and "new window" options in the right click menu. |

| | | | Of some things that I don't like, thing I hate most of FF4 is I can't find "Bookmark All Tabs" (or maybe it's there somewhere but I just can't find it easily, I don't know) which I need.
So I downgrade it to the older version. |

Also, one of my favourite add-ons, All-In-One-Gestures still hasn't been updated yet, which annoys the heck out of me.
Kwesi, I just suggest you close your FF more often if that's how it fixes the issue for you. It's no big deal to close it, and FF will save your tabs for you anyway. |

So I downgrade it to the older version. | Either right click on any tab & select "Bookmark All Tabs" from the context menu, or hit Ctrl+Shift+D. Both options create a folder of the tabs in your Bookmarks menu.

So I just downgraded it
But I don't understand why they have to change it, it just force us to learn again which slowed us down. |

I haven't noticed a big difference in speed between Chrome/FF4. What holds me back from using chrome is that there's no extension for NoScript, which is my favorite Firefox addon because it just cleans up websites by only allowing scripts to run that you permit.

Saves me about 10 seconds after porn browsing so I don't have to clear my history. Convenience is a great thing, no ?
