My Dad and I went and watched the first ever commercial flight of the A380 touch down at Sydney. They are very impressive planes, what is most amazing (IMO) is not the size, but how incredibly quiet they are! Boeing 747s near blow you away at the spot we were standing at, the A380 was so quiet.

P.S: Emirates is a very good airline, great service and comfortable planes, but IMO it doesn't get much better than Etihad. They are the best!

That thing gives wake turbulence a new meaning. It'll be sucking up 152's all over the country.

I wouldn't want to be the next in the pattern behind one, no matter what I was in!

Awesomely interesting video from a few years back. Shows the time lapse of an A380 assembly:

It's big, quiet, and can kill all other planes directly behind it. Like a mute elephant then huh?

This guy sometimes gets 747's and DC-10's accidentally caught in its teeth, not sure about the A380 yet.
