Got the bug and built a fixie from a vintage Steyr frame I picked up for 20.00. What a blast to ride! A real contrast to my trusty old Heckler.

Speaking of, I picked up a nice little toy a few weeks ago, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. May have to make an update for everyone who posted advice in my thread a while back...

the handle bars are an old Specialized thermoplastic that I shortened from my parts stash, brake lever from the canti's that came on a Cannondale I used to have. About 200~ in parts to build it. Being originally a 3 speed the frame width was about right for the single speed rear wheel and nice long dropouts. Pretty fast ride actually.

You'll learn lots, like why you better ride with some foot
retention, or you'll be cruisin' for a bruisin! |

+1 for Sheldon and BFSSFG.

On topic, nice ride, toytech.
Your MTB is borderline vintage as well.
Have you guys heard of www.norcalbiketrader.com? It could use some members.
