It was an accident, not a cruelty to animals type thing. But the overall picture of that has a featherless bird beat 10 fold.

I haven't had a Thanksgiving dinner as such for over twenty years, but I try to take advantage of the holiday to get a loss-leader frozen one from Safeway and knock it into quarters with a sledgehammer and a machete, then make pots of soup from them over the next few months. With dumplings, it's great.
I'd like to see the redneck mortar live, but from a distance. Frozen turkey shot forty feet in the air behind a giant grease fire and thirty bucks worth of scalding peanut oil all over the side of Aunt Beulah's double-wide. Solid entertainment.
