Fishing?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everybody,
Just wondering, Anyone else like fishing?
Recently found a pond right down the road from my house and caught 5 good largemouth in a couple hours. Also, recently went out on a charter and between six of us caught almost 300 pounds of striper and blues off Cape cod.
Anyone else have any good days of fishing lately? Also, picures of catches and such welcome.

Fishing ? I love to fish.
Best fish I ever caught was a 16lb Rainbow Trout out of a local stream.

I don't mind wetting a line now and again, moreso the kids now than me, but its good to get out.

We chase Black Bream around the lower reaches of the Swan River or Mulloway (croakers) in the deeper channels of either the Swan or Narrows river. Good cheap hobby

The biggest trout I've caught was an almost 2 pounds rainbow Very hard to catch if you are used to bass and pickerel. Trout are finicky and this time of year nearly impossible to catch it seems

Its not cheap if you get addicted. Sad to say, I've spent hundreds and hundreds more on fishing than bass gear.....

Yep. Friends wanted to take me shark fishing in Geraldton one weekend, so I priced up a rig to join them.

I ended up borrowing most of their stuff (save for a couple balloon rigs) and most of the weekend was spent discussing my heavy, expensive music gear sitting back in Perth

I'm not that bad tackle wise, Most of what I have is fresh water, but in a box that is about the size of an amp head I have close to $1,000 in lures.

...Built up over a few years of course.
Now that I think about it, I kind of wish I could convert it all into a new cab or a new bass....

LOVE fishing!

The town I live in is wedged between the Oslo-fjord and a lake, so I'm surrounded by water.

I mainly fish for pike and perch in my local lake, but I also enjoy going out for seatrout in the fjord and the occational trip for browntrout in mountain-lakes.

There's only two ponds/lakes here within several hours drive with pike, Always wanted to catch one but the only time i here of people landing them here is through the ice in the winter. Any monsters over there?

No real "monsters" for me (yet), but I've caught a LOT of fish between 35"-41", great fun even though their not huge.

The biggest pike caugth on sportfishing-tackle here in Norway was a 47" beast weighing in at almost 42 pounds, just a couple of months ago.

Get yourself a box with big spinners, softbaits and some jerkbaits, and just get out there man!

The problem with getting out there is one of the ponds is an hour away, not to mention really shallow and weedy and not to great for spinners, and the other is almost 700 acres, and i dont even have a canoe right now

Try some top-water lures on the pond, nothing beats the thrill of catching on the surface!

As for bigger lakes, now that summer is on the decline and the temperature starts to drop, baitfish will gradually start moving to the shallows with the predators hot on their heels, and there is an absolute possibility to catch good pike from the shore!

Summer is definitely not on the decline here yet sadly. went fishing at a local pond and top water bite was nonexistent for bass and pickerel, All they were hitting was rubber worms, but only on the fall.

Took my son for his first proper bass fishing in Rutland, MA 2 Saturdays ago. We caught 6, in the 1-2 pound range. He had a blast, as did I...I hadn't been in some time. Went casting again locally last Saturday in the rain real early, not a single nibble.

Now I want a boat. Wanna land a real lunker.
