I'm glad he was holding on; it would've been dangerous if he weren't. 
As facepalming as that seemed, at least it was better than the potentially disastrous aerodynamic experiments that I've seen on the highway with the front end (with respect to the car it's on) of the mattress bending upward, creating a positive angle of attack that creates even more lift … |

I used a ratchett strap to tie it up to the roof. I then drove it about a mile to the dumpster behind Vons, and left it next to the dumpster, so a homeless person could make good use of it. Um, mind the stain. Its cranberry juice. Cran-apple.
