I have a different kind of favor to ask. My friend Dylan and I are going to be driving to Fontana California on the 24th of September, going to Epicenter 2010, and driving back to Colorado the 27th. We're kinda poor bastards (and cheap too!) and we are trying to do this for as little cash as possible. So my question is, is there a TB member that lives in the area that could let us borrow a 4x6 stretch of carpet so we can throw some sleeping bags down and sleep somewhere safe? Our plan is the truck, but that's not such a smart idea. We'll be there three nights at most (maybe only two), and we wont be home during the day. |

Looking at a map it looks like most of you guys are 60 or so miles away from the fest. Which means hella time on the road due to traffic, but were doing this for the sake of experiance. |

Joe, I do live in the area, though I don't think I currently possess any spare carpeting. If I stumble across some, I'll let you know.
Oh, and by the way, you do NOT want to be camped out in the open or in the bed of your truck in Fontana. You'll be instantly mugged by the many many meth-heads there. They're a nasty lot, I can assure you. I would know, it's my job to try and sell them phones every day

Regarding not knowing where Fontana is...come on, we've all driven past it on the way to Vegas. |

My mom bought a house out there for anyone who gets laid off to live until they find work. Problem is, ain't nobody looking for a job right now; they're just bumming it up....
I would say that I can plan a trip out there that correlates with your trip to get you some carpet remnants. But I'm not setting foot out there until the current ****storm that is my family calms down a bit...

We don't mind driving, we just need a place to rest, and maybe take a shower. I suppose some Colorado Microbrew might be in the deal if you want some. |
