I have never heard that before, and I do have a good bit of mountain dwellers in my family.

Fried taters, dump cake, sweet tea, yes. Cole slaw on hot dogs, not so much.

I've heard of an "All-the-Way-Dog" which features slaw in WV, but I think the Carolinas are more known for the Slaw Dogs, or whatever they call them.

Pennsylvania... man we got chips; martins, herrs, middleswarth, utz. we got pretzels; snyders, wedges, some more i'm forgetting, we got hershey foods, tons of big dairies giving us milk ice cream and most of them give us iced tea too. swiss premium, turkey hill, guers, rutters, harrisburg dairies, we have kutztown beverage, yeungling beer is bottled here, land o lakes cheese and butter etc...

i could keep going for a long while

no wonder i'm chubby

The Birmingham Balti:



The 'Balti' itself is actually the name of the metal dish that it's cooked/served in.

IIRC the dish itself developed in the curry houses of Birmingham.
