Got some serious food poisoning last night at Jack In The Box, been seriously messed up all day.

Wife has convinced me to go to the hospital.

See you lot later.

Just FYI, salmonella (the most common food poisoning) takes 24-48 hours to incubate. So if you got salmonella, it wasn't the Jack that got you, it was something you ate the day before.

I got food poisoning from eating at a restaurant in Montgomery, Al. called Po Folks. We went there late and I ate my food, which tasted pretty good. The next day I was puking from the moment I woke up to about an hour before I went to bed. I don't know what it was but whatever it was it SUCKED!!! I also had a little bout with it from a Chipotle Burrito I got. They have really fresh ingredients but if there's no preservatives in most of it so if it's left out for too long you'll get sick. It also happened to my wife when she ate her burrito.

preservatives have nothing to do with it.

Hmm, I'm not positive it's accurate to say they have nothing to do with it (though you might be right); but regardless, it's much more likely that the real problem was some careless kitchen worker who didn't wash their hands after going to the bathroom, or who didn't keep raw and cooked meats separate, etc.

I had some serious food poisoning on Christmas eve/day. I most likely got it from eating some salsa at a party the night before. I heard that many food poisoning cases came from consumption of bad salsa.

BTW Bongo that T-rex tube compressor is awesome!

I spent New Year's in Santiago Chile a few years ago; in the week leading up to the holiday, the newspapers ran front-page articles warning everyone not to leave their mayonnaise out at room temp too long. Apparently Chileans love mayo so much that it's a danger worthy of front page headlines at a festival time like the New Year.

I got food poisoning back in college from some raw oysters. That's probably one of my most favorite foods in the world. But after the week of pure hell I went through from the food poisoning...I can't even eat them anymore. That's been about twelve years ago. Haven't had them since.

Food poisoning sucks.

There's different kinds and levels of food poisoning. Some can hit you pretty quickly and completely wipe you out and cause you to die if you don't get emergency medical attention ASAP.

I think that's what the preservatives had to do with it.

no...that has to do with improper food handling that no amount of preservatives will prevent.
