I live in the bay area. I have a lot of friends who are major football fans who won't go to 'Niners'-Raiders games because of this kind of stupid violence.
And in the wake of the beating of (baseball fan) Brian Stow it's just unbelievable.

It's a great city, but this stuff is beyond stupid and senseless. They love sports and would be at Giants and 49'ers games - and I don't want them in that kind of jeopardy.

Still, senseless.

It got a little scary a few times during the game as well as before and after. Me and my traveling Steeler buddies agreed to not go to Oakland again. Although we are kind of nervous about the game in SF this year. After this latest story, I suspect we won't be flying any Steeler colors before, during, or after the game. It's not worth it.

-Mike | I personally wouldn't be afraid about steelers game... I've been to SF games with bears, vikings, cowboys, packers and raider fans. and usually everything is fine... Nothing like this happens... I am not excusing 49er fans involved, but this crap tend to happen at raider/9ers games more so then any other game...
Stupid... We need to move our team out of a ghetto of San Fran into Santa Clara as soon as possible...
Also, let me know, i might hit that game up to... you can definitely fly steelers colors if you have 6.3 340 pound 9er fan with you.

My solution? As unpopular as it is, dry games, and nobody gets in who smells like alchohol. I think you'd see a big drop in fan violence/bad behavior.

Those gangs up north man (Nortenos & Surenos)...I'm tellin ya, I think those are the last "real" California gangs. The guys down here in LA, you don't hear much from them these days. Scary.
