I heard on the radio today that there is a Footloose remake. What was wrong with original? I love it.

I guess you have not heard Hollywoods latest slogan?

"Its from the 80's?? Remake it!"

Or reboot/sequel/prequel/etc.

The remake is gonna be bad... what makes the music is the 80's synth drums... Kenny Wormald is playing Ren, and Dennis Quaid is taking over for John Lithgow... not cool.

Where are they going to find a town you can't dance in these days? Is this the Taliban version?

Nothing's wrong with the original.
Just like there was nothing wrong with the original versions of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Bad News Bears, The Amityville Horror, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Dawn of the Dead, The Day the Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds, Psycho, The Karate Kid, Planet of the Apes, The Poseidon Adventure, House of Wax (although seeing Paris Hilton die was worth it), The Wicker Man, Alice in Wonderland, and a score of other movies I can't think of right now.

My fiancee and her friend left a gig in Hollywood.and happened upon the wrap party for Footnote last summer. That's a regular occurrence living in LA.

I can only take that cheese with Bacon.

I can't take that cheese with, say, DiCaprio, or Rogen, or McLovin.

I'm sure there will be a modern licentious twist on it such as, "in this town we don't dance naked in public!" and then the naked dancing guy will moonwalk down mainstreet and liberate the town of their rusty, Puritan manacles.

I don't understand why Hollywood keeps doing remakes of good movies.

Why don't they start doing remakes of BAD movies? They've only seem to have done that with the Hulk from 2001 or whatever.
