I'm sure youve heard about the f-18 that crashed near San Diego, but I was just reading this article and thought I should post about it. This man has something good in his heart to be able to forgive.

Make sure the people you love, know it.

I don't see how anyone could hold any animosity against the pilot. The engine failed on the plane, there was no pilot error in the crash.

I hate doing a Monday morning quaterbacking on a plane crash. While the accident was caused by mechanical, as far as we know, we don't know at what altitude he detected the malfunction and if he had any options to steer away from homes before he ejected. The investigation will figure that out.

When you're driving a fast machine like that, at low level and you know you're going down, you're thinking real fast. I'm not going to second guess the pilot's decision. Not fair and I wasn't there.

Very big hearted and compassionate of the father.

I just can't imagine what that man is going through. Come home one day and everyone and everything is gone.

So ******* messed up.

I have no inside info on this at all...... But I find it highly suspect that BOTH engines fail on final approach just as a pilot is lowering his airspeed to land. I hope this guy didn't stall his jet........

mmm.

The report says the pilot was told to make an emergency arrested landing or something. But I suppsose things will become clear eventually.

Low flying military aircraft over residential type areas always scare me a little bit. Where I grew up there was a lot of it. A few years ago a really low flying helicopter went over a known bridle path, spooked a horse and caused the rider to be flung off and die. Big MoD inquirie and aircraft were banned from the area.
