That's messed up. My prayers go out to those hurt in the attack.

Let's hope they get the monsters who did this.

Since I didn't know what you were talking about, I looked it up:

Yeah, that's sad. I'm glad they got one of the shooters. I'm sure they'll find the other quickly.

My son was at Fort Hood before and after his Afghanistan tour. He actually left Hood a month ago to be stationed in Kentucky. I haven't talked to him yet today, but there's a chance he may have known some of the people involved.

I remember something like this happening about 15 or 20 years ago just outside of Ft. Hood at a popular cafe that was patronized by many military guys from Ft. Hood. Actually, I remember my dad telling me that he was just in there a few hours before the guy opened fire on the place. What a shame this happening again in the same town. Ft. Hood is a big base, since it's home of the 1st Cav, so there's military all over the place. Such a sad day for a great unit.

Where else can you feel safe if not in a military base?

My prayers go out, this is a terrible tragedy.

Coming from a military family and spending the first ten years of my life on a military base, I can only imagine the horror.

My condolences to the families and friends of the dead and wounded.

Violence

Violence has come to Texas again. This is exactly the sort of thing no one ever wants to hear. We watched this unfold today at work.

I will be thinking of our fallen servicemen, and any other people hurt.

This is not a good day in Texas.

Peace be with y'all...
