Forums - slow load time and slow response

Has anyone else had troubles with the forums loading slowly or even having trouble scrolling through a forum list?

I'm using latest version of Firefox on a MacBook Air.

Sometimes it just goes completely non-responsive as I try to scroll through a thread list to see what I want to read.

I've noticed this in particular since the "Showtime" streaming video ads started appearing. I understand that the forum gets revenue for this but if it's affecting the users experience should the forum operators perhaps talk to Showtime about this?

This has been complained about a few times now... I have a thread in the forum support forum, and another thread was right here in OT about it too.
