Interesting, but they only have one more game to play at the world cup anyway. There isn't much of a chance for them to move on.

They were out before this came to light. Their performance in the first two games has been dire and they're pulling themselves apart from the inside. I didn't expect much from them before the tournament and they've failed even to live up to my low expectations!

I'm not a football fan at all but I'm French, and I can attest that long before the beginning of World Cup, MANY French people (I mean, probably MOST) had no hope of victory, and many of us also think our team fully deserves its failure.

The only thing that'd be more ironic than this is if Henry broke his arm by blocking a free kick in the wall

It sounds like a complete mess. Team boycotting practice, coach quitting...***?

It's a shame, but it's best they just go home. If they win against S.A., maybe they can at least save some face, but with all the vuvuzelas that will fly high ;-), it's a nail in the coffin.

Even if the French team wins against South Africa, that won't be enough. Instead of trying to win, or even maintain in the World Cup, better try to catch a mosquito with a lasso : that will be much easier.

i would LOVE it if your boys made it through to the second round at italy's expense (doubtful )

i'm sure that germany will pull out a win against ghana, though i'm not so sure about england.

The manager has in the past professed to using astrology to help calculate his coaching strategies.

Given that irrational approach, if I were a player on that team I would have absolutely no confidence in him, too.
