Freeware GTA clones for PC?

I've been on the lookout for these for ages, and never found one save the one on yoyogames.com that doesn't work on my computer.

Anyone know of a good one? What I've been looking for is the 3d style, I know you can download GTA 1 and 2 on Rockstar's site.

I don't know about many GTA-style games, especially freeware. You should take a look at Ville Mönkkönen's website. The guy has done many impressive games with the free-roaming element. Make sure to try Notrium, and maybe a few of this game's add-ons. I know it's not 3D, but he's good.

just play Breakfast Brawl on mofunzone, its better.

Didn't like Notrium much

Found that there wasn't a whole lot to do.
