Funny how we answer our own questions

I was about to post a new topic in the amps forum about x-setup vs y-setup, because I wasn't really sure what I needed. But just the act of listing my options, my tone preferences, and my power/venue needs erased most of the uncertainty I had. Anybody else find themselves doing that?
