I almost don't know if that is a returnable issue.

I don't see why not, but I've heard of stores complaining for less.

Best of luck, that sucks man.

Hope you can get a new one. Might want to check it at the store before you get it home if possible.

I had a couple of dead pixels on a MacBook Pro. I was told it wasn't an issue, and I should just live with it. Fortunatly it was a work machine, and I kicked up such a fuss they gave me a new machine, and gave the broken one to somone who wouldn't complain!!!

It sucks.

Most TV manufactures have a better policy than Monitor manufacturers. If it had been a monitor or laptop you'd probably be stuck with it. TV's you stand a good chance of getting it fixed.

I thought that the 0 dead pixel policy applied only to Samsung monitors.

i wont tell work that it only applies to monitors

if worst comes to worst my guarantee covers accidental damage so i could see if it bothered me and "drop" it the extended waranty is supposed to cover pixel faliure but theyre a bit wash about how many but im sure its like just 1. but it might be a send away for repair job then

Too true.

Couple years back (when they were pretty pricey), a friend of mine bought a new widescreen 24" monitor. There was a bright white dead pixel near the middle of the screen. He tried to get a replacement, but it was within the companys grading for the monitor, so he got nowhere

im gonna say like i work here you gotta be able to sort something out and hint that its gonna leave me with a bad outlook on the customer service of the company i work for.

considering that LCD is far superior to CRT ive never had pixel failure on my 22 year old CRT

I think he was being sarcastic?

I must admit, CRT had it's up points, no need for a native resolution, no shadowing. Just a shame the things were so massive!

LCD is fantastic for small size and reduced eye fatigue.
On absolutely all other points, CRT was far superior.

Norms say you can have up to 3 dead pixels, or 5 stuck pixels on a screen until it becomes a warranty issue.
Many builder propose a zero pixel default warranty though.

took it back my manager offered me some money back or moneyback and take the one off display with no missing pixels but i said id rather have a new one. he said ok. i got like 10% off in the first place because i work there so its at the reduced 10% to customers. only goes black when there is blue on that part of the screen and theres 1 thats pink, although its hard to notice once you know its there its all you see. im actually using it as a monitor now its great. the new one has 0 failed pixels. also my extended warranty includes pixel failure and screen burn.
