I wish I had a SNES and the following games: Mario world I, A Link to The Past, Super Metroid and Castlevenia.

Darn consoles and games got so expensive lately. Not sure I could afford it on the used market.

Do they make alternative consoles or cartridges with all the games on them? Or something?

Pretty sure there are online emulators. Also, you want to add Yoshi's Island to that list. It's probably one of the best games on the system. Oh, and Chrono Trigger. And Final Fantasy 3

Emulators, meh. Although I could buy one of those USB to SNES plug and play with an actual remote... sounds like a plan.

edit: those adapters don't work with mac... dammit

I bought a cheap Logitech USB controller, similar to the ps1 ones. It works well with snes emulator on my Mac mini.

I had one like that and though they weren't bad, when I finally got myself a corded xbox 360 controller it was so much better, though I've never been super crazy about the d-pad on them.

They work fine, don't get me wrong, but for me for some reason, an actual xbox controller makes it feel more like I am playing an actual game and not an emulator. But I'm weird like that. I just wish there were more usb type controllers with more of a classic style d-pad where it was more like a snes or original Playstation 8 directional d-pad controller because with the 360 style and typical logitechs I find it hard to be accurate. Like trying to press straight down to use a warp pipe in a Mario game can be a pita

I've been on a mildly retro Stalker trilogy binge after downloading the various "Stalker Complete" mod packs.

I lost or lent and forgot many 64 games, which is very sad. Starfox 64, Clay fighter and Goldeneye are amongst the games I had but don't have anymore

I feel your pain, I've lost many games for the same reason, including Zelda OoT and Majoras Mask. But its also how I got my copy of Final Fantasy 3(6) on snes...

I feel no guilt.

I own one of these - http://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Retro.../dp/B003O3EFY2

Not a bad price when you consider it works for three consoles. The cartridges can be pricey if you don't have them though.

Has FTL been mentioned in this thread? If not, well, it's terrific. One of the themes actually has a kickass bass sequencer line.

I'm always on the losing end of those "deals".

My daughter got Little Big Planet Karting for Christmas, and we just busted it out yesterday. Verdict: fun, addicting.

Daddy, however, is just biding his time until the new Bioshock game comes out!
