While stalking (checking out pics of) a friend on facebook, I encountered what at that moment I would call a somewhat attractive woman. Never seen her before in person or anything. So I left a comment on my friend's wall saying: "Hey, say hi to Jenny from me" (That's not her real name, of course.) Left it there, and went to sleep. Never meant something else or denote high interest.
The next day, Wednesday, I logged in to facebook again to chat with my friend (the one with pictures of Jenny,) and engaged in a conversation about existentialism, and her problems (drama) with her boyfriend, who performs all kinds of sexual intercourse with her, but is not interested beyond holes. My friend doesn't want to understand that, so she cries and stuff, and I help her, and she says she likes him, but don't, and confusion, and the "I don't think he really loves me" and the "but I can't let go and forget all my love for him" lines. Sigh...

Anyway, that is not the point of this thread

When chatting with my friend, Jenny added me and started a conversation right away. We made small talk at first, typical boring BS. So I told her that I hate that, I mean, I don't like, that in this society, people have to go through major boring, pointless, $***, stuff that people is not even interested in, but use as a way of "breaking the ice" and avoid silence. I would prefer shared silence than nonsense babbling. So she immediately starts an interesting conversation about society, and why did she choose her Social-Oriented college major. It impressed me, It had been long ago since someone impressed me with intellect, insight, and awareness. We shared YouTube finds, and music, talked about bands, and was also surprised of her taste in music. She likes Mike Patton, Mad Season, Alice in Chains, Fantomas... Likes movies a lot, we shared shorts too. Photography. Paintings; Dali, Monet, Klee. Anime, video games, comics, philosophy and psychology.
"This is girlfriend material." I thought. I never expected this. Someone so interesting and with shared values. Plus, she wears eyeglasses, which is a HUGE turn on for me. Like, she can be whatever mutant specimen, or a Susan Boyle, but if she wears eyeglasses, it becomes hot.

So we chatted all night. Non-stop. She flirted a lot; intermittent, insinuating, flirting. Every opportunity she had to express interest, she used. She likes musicians a lot, "any guy with an instrument in his hand is extremely attractive" to her.
Facebook told us we were spamming other users (each other) and that our chatting ability will be blocked and our accounts possibly deleted (due to fast chatting I guess...) so we switched to MSN Messenger and continued until she had to leave for college at 9AM. She left for college with my other friend (they are room mates,) so I made some breakfast. I ate it, and fell asleep.
I woke up a couple hours later, all peaceful, calm, and worry-free. It was Bass Practice Time. So I took the bass from it's stand, put on Metronome Online, tuned the bass, and put a playlist of Warm Up Songs. Ok, all right. Everything fine, excellent. I got some ideas to record, so I did. Until I check my schedule to see what's next on my Bass Practice Time, and what do I found? WORK. I GOTTA GO TO FRIGGIN WORK HOLY FRIGGIN MANURE!!! I was closing my apartment's door 13 minutes later, after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, and putting on some clothes. I was still putting on my belt on my way to the elevator. So I walk/RUN to the bus stop while texting my manager about me being sorry for being 40 MINUTEZ LATE. She says "Ok, no problem."
Longest work day ever. And I work at a supermarket deli. Gotta pull LOADS of hot chicken meat out of its bones and skin and chop it, then add Mayo. As if Mayonnaise grease was healthier than chicken skin... I threw some bones (namely, chicken spines) in there for people to choke on, just because I hated the world at that time.
End of day.
Go back to work the next day, only this day on time, but something's strange... Different... There's a hell of a lot of people outside for a Saturday afternoon... The thing is, it's FRIDAY.
I went to work the day before (Thursday) thinking it was Friday, and my manager didn't tell me a thing! And I closed the market with a co-worker thinking it was my turn, being Friday. But no... Gotta close again on
Friday. It all felt like when I was late, I did everything so fast, I broke the Speed of Light barrier and arrived a day earlier, but then came back. Ugh... Longest week ever.
What I haven't told you, and what makes this F A I L, is that Jenny, the girl with whom I spoke to all night, the reason for me being late and going to work on a day I wasn't supposed to, lives on the country where I am from, where I no longer live since more than 2 years ago.
