This is not a bad experience nor is it a GC blast thread, but just wanted to share a mishap that would cringe any bass enthusiast. I was at a GC yesterday just checking out some gear and all the sudden I started hearing crashing sounds towards the bass room.

Apparently one of the top basses on the wall was not seated properly or one of the slat hangers for the bass failed. There was a guy in the drum section going to town too so not sure if his playing made the walls shake, but 3 other basses "domino'ed" to the ground as well. I think two of the basses were 2 used Ibanez bass and the other was some other average bass, but the one that hurt was a nice Blue 2007 Fender Roscoe Bass. I looked at it before the crash too and it was in pristine condition. After the crash..... The bass looked like it went to war.

Needless to say the staff there were not happy.

Just wanted to share..... Poor basses!

Ouch, I'll bet the drummer missed a beat, or two!

That reminds me of when a 'huge' globe light in a local restaurant crashed to the floor near my table. Fortunately, I was not sitting underneath it.

My thoughts exactly!

I actually dropped a bass off the wall years ago at my favorite (now long gone) music store. I don't remember the brand of the bass I was checking out, but the headstock had a funky angle to it. I got done checking the bass out, hung it back on the wall, turned around..... and CRASH!!

It kinda mushed the strap button on the bottom and I felt horrible. Pat, (the guy who owned the store) said "Don't worry about it, it happens." I'm not sure if that was because I was a very regular customer, or if I was a very regular customer because Pat was like that......

Anyway..... OUCH!

Lol!!!! Ya after it fell I wondered if it was my fault, but I looked at the wall and the first bass that fell off was the top one which was an ibanez. The Roscoe was slightly below it.

If anyone wants to check it or see if they'll slash prices some more it the GC in attleboro MA. They had it priced at $999.99 when I saw it.
