I'm about $150 off having a enough for a new cab, and I have to wait another two weeks. Its going to be a long two weeks. I really can't imagine monthly pay.

i'm on bi-weekly...still sucks. With all the electronic pay programs out there, you would think that everyone would be paid weekly...except the government maybe

we dont even clock in, all stuff is on the computer, and honor system. I just put 40 hours, and click approve...

You need a cushion and an emergency savings account. Sorry to sound like Dave Ramsey but facts is facts There are times where I take a month off for shows and travel. That means sometimes it could be 2 months between checks arriving.

Do some odd jobs on the side for some extra cash. I'm sure there's something you're skilled at that you could do. Maybe some beginner bass lessons, etc... Don't always have to rely on getting paid from one source.

Twice monthly here. I have no other complaints except that nearly all of my bills are due between the 1st and 10th of the month, which means during those times when I'm light on cash, I go through periods of heavy swings - ie lots of cash on the 15th which has to be held because I'll have very little after the first. Things have balanced themselves out now, so the cash-flow is a little more even.

Well, those "right friends" should give you the cab today and let you pay up the last $150 in a fortnight.

This. i'm not in this situation, but most of my field is. Two weeks without a check? Not a big deal. I know people who wait two months. Mark's right. You learn to budget.

I'm on the Bi-Weekly pay schedule and my wife is also. But were on staggered weeks. So we really get a pay check every week

The store is about to do stocktake, so an inverted layby isn't going to happen. I don't NEED the cab now, but I wants it

Its also hard to do on the side odd jobs when I work 5 days a week, with 45min travel each way. I've been at this job since late august, but only started my full time/part time casual hours when I graduated at the start of december.
