Just had to say it.
Great, fun, likeable bunch of guys, with phenomenal, homegrown pitching and an ability to stay cool in the clutch.
Plus the Rally Thong.
Ending the third-longest drought in baseball. Cubbies and Indians, your time will come.

I was happy the Texas Rangers made it to the series,
especially since they beat the Yankees!

All of the Tiger fans appreciate Edgar Renteria and Aubrey Huff for the extra effort they made when in Detroit. Renteria was onw of the best pylons we ever had at SS while he hit a solid .190 and Huff came over to provide extra offense in the stretch run last year and was a dependable SO, congratulations Giants Fans, but can Huff and Renteria give us our money back?

I think the manner in which the Giants knocked off the Rangers should make us feel better in Philly. The Rangers looked like the strongest offensive team of the final four, and yet it took the Giants only five games, as opposed to the six it took them to beat the Fightin' Phils. The Giants' pitchers were on a roll, and the offense perked up at exactly the right time. Congrats to them, but I think the Phils will regain their championship form next year, and I give them good odds of making the Series.

(plus a buddy of mine from high school [havent been the best avout keeping up with old friends...] is on the team, though i dont believe he was on the roster last night... could be wrong... honestly was going between that and mnf.... sorry...

that said: go giants! **** ya. long time coming... damn glad it was now with this group. ok- thats all.

I kind of adopted the Giants after moving to California, especially after my hometown Cardinals failed to make it to the playoffs. Glad I did, cause it's a different sort of team than what I'm used to but just as exciting to watch. I went to one of the Braves vs. Giants games at AT&T park during the playoffs and that was a blast. Way to go Giants.

Other towns they celebrate by turning over cars. What did they do in S.F.?
Redecorate?

Just joking, I like SF. We go there on business at least once a year.

rite on giants. it was something to see them smoke the rangers after watching the rangers plow over the yankees.

i was half watching one of the yankee - ranger games at a gig a few weeks back. i looked up as the rangers started piling on runs and screwed up what i was playing. rather uncool, if i do say so myself.

i have been a yankee fan since the mid 70's. feel free to pile on the hate...

I'm a Giants fan as well, ever since I moved back to California in 1987. The Bay Area pretty much exploded that night, it was a fantastic Series.

Now, I'm going to pay attention to NFL and MLS finals.

Though not much of a MLB fan, it was nice to see the local team take the spotlight. I am amazed at how much it meant to some of my friends.

Ummm- 1954 was their last Series win.
They lost in 1962, 1989 and 2002.
