It's that time of year again and my Cascade hops are wakening from their winter slumber.
I have plenty of rhizomes (roots) to offer anyone who wants to plant some of their own and I'm giving them away just like last year. See this thread for details: Giving away Cascade hop rhizomes
Those who are interested, should first do a little online research about how to properly grow them and where they can be successfully cultivated, and if it sounds like something you are seriously intending to do, PM me with your address and I will send you 3 sections of hop roots, each about 5 inches long. I will cover the cost of shipping (CONUS only and using USPS). The package will be a standard 6" X 10" bubble envelope mailer.
All in the cause of advancing the homebrewer's craft.
A hop growing primer: Hops Growing Primer
This is what you'll be getting in the mail - 3 of these guys:

This year you should expect the best vines to grow to 30 or 40 feet long and have plenty of hop cones in the fall. By the third season you be trying to thin them out because they'll be so thick.

Let me know if you want some planting or growing advice.
