I'm pretty well versed with selling on eBay but a potential buyer is asking for the serial number on the MacBook Pro I'm selling. Is there any harm in giving it to them?

About the only thing they could use it for afaik is to sell either fake or stolen product, but chances are they are not going to go asking people for serial numbers for that purpose..
