Going to KC next week

I'm going to Kansas City (KS side) next week, are there any music stores or anything music related, or anything in general I should check out while I'm there.
I'll be there to visit family and during the day I will need some things to do while they are off at work.

Thanks.

Plenty of good BBQ joints there to check out. There's a TBer (massacresomethingrather) that is from KC so he may chime in with his favorites.

It's my understanding that their method of loving there could be construed as crazy.

In my experience, the BBQ is vastly overrated, but you might like it. Probably the most well known is Arthur Bryants. They're pretty good, but really don't live up to the hype.

There are no decent music stores here. Bbq is hit and miss. Gates bbq is an expierience though. If anyone tells you to go to the power and light district, don't. What are you into? I vould probably point you to a decent time.

MF clearance center is closed.

Demon, they changed the name to taco zone in gladstone, but it still exists. I live a 5 min walk from there.

The one I'm talking about is on antioch, right by ace hardware. Nothing like powdered cheese substitute.

Thanks for the suggestions! That sucks about the clearance center, I would probably loved to go there.

I'm really looking forward to trying some KC ribs and brisket. Apparently, the brisket around here is not real brisket... or so I'm told.

don't get brisket. Get burnt ends. It's the crispy brisket ends. Smokey, crispy, delicious. If you're dead set on going to a music store, Funky munky music is decent. The supposedly carry laklands, but they usually only carry 1 at a time, and they sell pretty quickly, so there's a good chance that there won't be any. They also carry G&L and Eden, but don't have many of both. Guitar Source carries orange, marshall and hartke.
