So if there are any guitarist here i have a question.

Fender Jaguar or Fender Telecaster? Went to a guitar center today and tried out several guitars and i've narrowed it down to this. Mostly for writing guitar parts to go with my bass lines and other stuff. A lot of RHCP stuff and funk/alt/rock. Which do yall think would be better?

Both would be fine....just go with what you like the most. Guitars are very versatile instruments, even if you decide you don't like the sound, a new set of pickups can dramatically change the sound.

Personally I'm a telecaster guy - I have a MIM Tele, and Schecter PT (telecaster shaped guitar). Both are pretty rockin'

I have a Telecaster that I made from all American made eBay parts. For under $400 the damn thing ROCKS!! IMHO, they are much more versatile than a Jaguar.

Yes, there is a big DING on the body I had to break it in

I'm not really a huge fan of Fender guitars but they're both pretty good. My favorite moderately priced guitar would be a used Jackson SL3 soloist. I sold mine for I think $600ish way back when. Awesome guitars.

Man, if it was any other guitar besides a tele, I'd say Jag, but you really had to make this difficult for all of us, didn't you?

Between Tele and Jag....Tele

(Nice Tele, FL Knifemaker)
I just modded a $150 Strat style Hyburn with (3) L200 pups ($139.50). My buddy with a '90 Fender Strat Deluxe agrees it's now a really close race...and mine totally wins in the noisefree catagory...his was over $1k.
