Every Friday my department goes out for lunch. Today one of my employees drove his 1923 Willy's Knight in to work, so we went out in that. Sweet!
It's powered by a 3.0L sleeved 4 cylinder (no camshafts) and a 3 speed non-synchronized manual transmission. The black cone looking thing in the engine compartment is the horn. And yes, it really does go "aaaa-ooooooo-gaaa"
Peace,
James

I would love to see a modern remake of those type of cars.

| Whoa! Sleeve-valves of the Knight persuasion
Is that motor really as quiet as they advertised?

I should have snapped a picture of that. You almost have to behave like a mad scientist to start the thing. Turn on the ignition, prime the gas, adjust the spark. Repeat until it all works. Quote: |

wow and I thought having to wiggle my ignition key to get it toengage so I could turn the engine over was a pain. |

Or at least that's how it is here.
I think you can get exemptions for them too, like if its a show car or the like.
