I never played GoldenEye back when I had an N64 and I've been told I missed out. So I know this is big news for all fans!

Checkout Steam and if you have HL:2, you can download the GoldenEye:Source mod and play the game. It`s mulitplayer only but it`s there with all the weapons, characters, maps, and sounds. Definitely worth checking out |

lowsound | Depends on what you feel is ruining it, I heard somewhere
that it's Daniel Craig's Bond.

Try playing something even somewhat dated like Counter Strike:1.6 and then play GoldenEye and you`ll be wondering how you ever had fun playing an FPS game with that 64 controller.
For me to be interested in the game they`d have to completely overhaul the levels, increase AI difficulty, add new weapons, redo the score(not completely change it, just update it), add new maps, and perhaps even add a few twists and turns in the story just to make it a little more fresh. |

i know what you mean though. every time i've gone back and played a game i enjoyed in my youth it's always been, once the nostalgia wore off, disappointing. i remember it took me forever to beat Donkey Kong Country on the SNES when i was 9, i got it when it came out on the GBA 6 years ago and i beat it in 2 hours

That said, I still find Mario Kart and NBA Hangtime incredibly fun even after (wow ) 12 years. |

I play Goldeneye with friends when I get my N64 out every now and then, but its not all that great, good for a bit of nostalgia but thats it.
Mario Party on the other hand... Or Smash Bro's.

Though as a Bond fan, I'm not sure how I feel about Daniel Craig's cold, heartless Bond playing the place of Brosnan's suave Bond. Just not accurate, but if the game is as good as the trailer looks, I can probably overlook that.

I've been playing through Mario Galaxy 2 and it is an amazing game. It all depends on your taste. Quote:

I could never beat Diddy Kong Racing for N64, but when it came out for DS, I beat it in a few days. Quote:

Link to trailer: http://dai.ly/9ygQ7K | To change the Bond is to change a huge part of the game. I've never played Goldeneye, but I've played a few other Bond games and I know this to be true.
Why does it look like it's still on the N64? That's the only reason I was disappointed it was on the Wii, because I know the graphics won't get a HUGE update like they would on an HD console.

Of course with lesser graphics, I'm sure the online play might be a bit better than past Nintendo efforts (Smash Bros. Brawl).
