At first I wasn't to happy about it. You just lose track of these things quickly.

Then again, now's a better time than ever to do something awesome and go nuts!

I'm actually meeting to do a show next month as a contest with other AZ bands to play with Primus, STP, etc. at the Fall Frenzy here in Tempe in September. I'm leaving now to go to the meeting.

Any other suggestions as to how I should celebrate? I got lucky and got it on a Friday this year!

LOL I know, right? I started having this weird leg pain a few weeks ago... it's as if the pain originates where my left leg sockets into my hip and it shoots down sometimes to my toes. Getting old RULES! I don't mind though. I figure I should live at least twice as long! Having a cold one later and just taking it easy. That's my style.

Happy Birthday! I am 30 this year also. Also gained this year - getting married, a honeymoon in HI, a $15K/year salary increase/promotion. Altogether, a pretty year thus far.

You should buy yourself a celebratory bass. My cash is a little low, so I bought a Ruger Mark III instead of a bass or a Rolex.

Wow... 21? While that was a fun age I'm much happier where I am now at 23.

I like to think of myself as a more experienced 21 year old though.

Happy birthday dude!

30!! Oh my gawd...

I have shoes older than 30!! Well, maybe not, but I have a 35 year old daughter!! I just turned 61 last month. My 60th birthday last year was incredible. The deputies I work with gave me an awesome 5 shot, 38 caliber revolver with a hot pink grip...equipped with a laser...it is so cute!!! Of course, they also gave me a large package of Depends!!!! Every birthday that I have is a blessing. HAPPY 30TH!!! Enjoy it. Celebrate life and just being alive. It's corny, but live every day like it is your last, count your blessings, try new things. I started taking belly dance lessons when I was 58. And my wonderful, handsome fiancee started trying to teach me to play bass, thus my name Justlearning. Doubt that I'll ever be any good, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I'm retiring in 6 months, and sometime shortly after that, I'm packing up and moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to marry my fiancee... the man I've been in love with for 28 years. Sorry, got carried away. Bottom line...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I went skydiving on my 30th birthday. It was pretty cool, but I wouldn't do it again.

Sounds like sciatica, possibly caused from a bulging disc.
How do I know??.. I have this. It sucks.

Well I know I have three or possibly four damaged discs in my back from a bad car accident I was in August 2003. I was blessed to finally come up with the cash for the two Sadowsky basses I have that are light enough for me.

I also don't sleep very well under any circumstances. I've tried everything from ibuprofen to new beds.

Life goes on! I'll be okay, though.

I wish I got a gun for my birthday! I love shooting. Funny thing is, there's a new law this month that you don't have to have a permit to conceal in AZ. I have no desire to carry in public, but that's an interesting law.

One of my uncles is 60 and he's the coolest. I'm looking forward to climbing that hill.

I don't sweat birthdays, as I think I stopped aging about 20 years ago. I'm 52, and people mistake me for mid-thirties all the time.

Play your cards right, and that could be you someday.

Happy Birthday!

Happy 30th, man! I always throw myself a bash for the major birthdays. My 30th birthday was awesome, but my 40th was even better: I lived in a big warehouse space then, and had a live jazz band in one corner, nude body painting going on in one corner (hey, I'm not responsible for what the guests decide to do), tons of people everywhere laughing, dancing, having a blast. I'd say get all your friends together, treat yourself to an awesome meal somewhere, and party! Sorry to hear about your leg pain, I hope you've got a good practitioner to help with your back. The only drawback to getting older is you've got to work harder to stay in shape. I do yoga, lift weights, and some aerobics. I find when I exercise regularly, I don't have aches and pains (at least, not so much). Something to keep in mind, as you'll feel the difference as you progress into your 30s. What we could get away with in our 20s ain't so easy later on. But it's all good. Like Justlearning said, always try new things. I'm 45 now, and I've just put my first original rock band together. I mean, why not, right? So take good care of yourself and enjoy this new decade of your life!

Congrats on making it that far. Remember: Age is just a number, for some of us, a very big number. Enjoy all of them.

Yeah I'm not unhappy about it. I'm looking forward to a full head of grey hair and a list of experiences like no other.
