I could barely get anyone to talk to me there, but I did openly admit to being a mere bass player.

Correction on the link ...

http://www.vintagesynth.com/

I think synth players are a little more particular than bass players actually. I haven't really ventured too much into their forums. When I was doing searches I mostly did google searches and crossed my fingers.

This.

That's where I learned everything I know.

I've been digging around in online analog synth resources for some years. If those interest you, I'll scout out what I have.

Hey Bob, I'm still not done fine-tuning the couple of vintage synths I snagged; I'd be interested in any info you can share- I'm specifically working on an Ensoniq ESQ-1 & Roland JX8P. You can PM me or post here- I'm sure there's a TBer or two who could benefit.

That would be appreciated here as well. Synths seems to be a never ending realm of sound design and possibility.

I've dug up these links among my bookmarks:

I had some others, but I think they were lost inadvertently in a computer upgrade a few years ago. Maybe I can find them somewhere.

for the sounds i would not hesitate: go with xbase888, true analog kick, snare and tom generation. what i understand of the machinedrum is that it's more flexible for sampling ...
