Google Chrome Question

Why is it when I'm running one page in Chrome that there are six processes (chrome.exe) running when I open Windows Task Manager? I'm sure this is slowing my computer down, any ideas what's going on here?

If you right click on the chrome bar, chrome has it's own task manager and will give details.
I believe it is for each tab (at least one extra process whether the tab is opened or not). Possibly add-ins.

Yeah - it's for each tab. I have 15 instances running right now myself.
