Got the all-clear at the physio!

Sign in to disble this ad
I finally got a physio appointment and have FINALLY got a diagnosis on my wrists.

The good news: it's not RSI, but a severe form of double-jointedness. Infact the physio said it was the worst case she'd seen.
Turns out that my ligaments aren't doing their job, my bones are moving in and out of place and so my nerves are flagging up pain.

The bad news: there's not a huge amount they can do. Infact bassplaying might actually be helping me as it strengthens the hand.

But either way I can continue doing this:

Physiotherapist.

There really isn't much you can do at all to strengthen ligaments. It's a problem I've had for pretty much all my years.

Your wrists might be causing you a problem when you are playing, but how are your ankles? That's what caused my more problems than any other joint.

The problem is, you may get an all-clear from the doctor, but you're still you.

Thanks for the status update, Fassa. I was so concerned for your condition it was hard to concentrate on anything else. Now that I have this important news, I can get on with my life.

No pics, Fassa, no doctor's visit. Sorry. That's the rules.

Physiogonomist? Couldn't have been a very good diagnosis.

This thread is a not so veiled attempt for fassa to brag about being double jointed. A thought that gives me douche shivers.
