I've been wanting to do this for a while and would like to thank those who have started the Photoshop threads in helping me back into doing my own artwork. If you have work you would like to share/talk about, feel free to post it here. Feel free to post photoshop work, painting, sculpture, illustrations, photography (though there's already a thread), gif animations. Is there anything I'm forgettting?

Please only post work that is your own. Let's see what TBOT crowd has. I'll start things off.

I used to do "sigs" and a few manips in a previous life, however I'm not sure they qualify as art

The heart is done in Photoshop. There are four photos and one illustration used: the background texture, the heart illustration, a metal texture for inside the heart and heart edge, a hook, and a piece of string. I drew a matte in PS to cut the hole in the heart as well as the gradient tool and the metal texture to create the inside of the heart. The blue flame and text glow are made in After Effects. I used a plugin called Form by Trapcode and AE's glow effect on the text.

Cheers man.

Mostly pencil, with a small bit of colouring pencil, for the hilt, drool and background. The photo is a small bit blurred, which is why it looks more like charcoal than it should.

Sigs are small pieces you can fit in forum signatures, while manips are photo manipulations.

You say in the past. Are you still doing some sort of art or should I say visually creative endeavor currently?

Beautiful work Michael. Could you tell me a little bit about the Arc piece? What are your influences? It looks like you're interested geology and light.

the arc was a commission for the philadelphia international flower show...
neon, both italian and american
pvc, the white connectors
lexan, the long transparent tubes

What are your influences? It looks like you're interested in geology with some of the earlier pieces and light.

Not at this point in time, but once my finals are over I will get back at photography which I picked up not to long ago.

i am influenced by a lot of 70s minimalism and 80s neo geo stuff, but i have always been interested in what makes up video which is light, motion, and sound

nam june paik, bruce nauman, donald judd, jeff koons and haim steinbach are my favs

my students just started a cool fanzine in LA called artists anonymous that is blowing up on facebook, please check it out if you like photoshop and illustrator art
