i dont do drugs, but when i am bored or tired my eyes glaze over, maybe that is why i am "randomly selected" for drug screening.

i'm not sure about you, but i'd have a big problem with that being an invasion of privacy.
likewise, last time i was drug tested, it was for a job application, and it was first thing in the morning and i peed as part of my morning routine. i forgot i had to hold it. so we get to the place and i can't perform. i hate peeing in cups.

damn district and random drug testing | I find this wrong on many levels. For some reason I don't find this so random. Hats off to you UJ, for taking this in stride. Having spoken to you many times I find it wrong that someone with your intelligence and enthusiasm for life has to be humbled this way. Maybe this is just rubbing me the wrong way, but I don't like it. |

All he did was just ask you a question or two and take a look at your eyes. I mean come on, how stupid is that? I remember a few guys got stoned and thought that they could get in, the guy saw the bloodshot eyes and didn't let them in and they didn't get a refund. Pretty funny for me, but it would suck for them. My school is the only one I have ever known to have done something like that, bloody rediculous if you ask me.

| | | This society has reached an all-new level of paranoia over the jazz cigarette.
Perhaps the Terence McKenna book that I'm currently reading is really having an influence on me, but this is one of the most asinine things I've heard in a long time. I wonder how many college scholarships we could give out or how many people without health insurance would be treated if we redirected the funds we spend on the failure known as the War on Drugs to something a little more productive for society.
(Hopefully that wasn't too political for OT )

He worked a double shift and was starving when he got off work, so he went to Denny's and ordered the biggest breakfast thing on the menu. When he realized that the date was 4/20 and that he was chowing down hugely at 11:00PM with heavily bloodshot eyes he started laughing and had to call me.
He said "I've got a pretty good idea what assumption everyone around me is probably making right now."

I ended up breaking my two front teeth and my bottom teeth went through my bottom lip. Anyways, they tested me cause they thought drugs were the reason I passed out...
Funny thing is I didn't know they tested me until I got the bill. Cost was upwards of two hundred dollars!!! Good thing workmans comp is paying for it!

| | Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to... | | Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Huntington Beach, California. | | | It's never random. My buddy is covered in Tat's.. He's a GOOD guy, never does anything wrong and he is constantly harassed by police. Just last week he was in the left turn lane, making a turn, and somebody in the opposing direction was in a turn lane behind another car, he changed his mind and almost hit my buddy in the intersection while my friend turned... WELL, a cop saw that, they came to him with guns drawn, made him keep is hands outside the window while he got out, they took him to the ground, cuffed him, searched his car for almost an hour and when they found nothing, no priors, no warrants (They asked if his parole officer was alright with him breaking the law... he's never done anything, and has no parole officers) they let him go, and gave him every single ticket they could.
This happens to him all the time, cause he's covered in tattoo's... The tatt's are vine's and flowers... lol.
he doesn't drink, or smoke, doesn't do drugs, doesn't party, he's a college graduate (Fellow sound engineer) and extremely accomplished guitard (A damn good one)

As a drug free person, this never bothered me. I used to get a kick out of watching the tweakers I worked with stressing out over if they were going to get picked for a drug test.

He has sleeves and a few neck pieces. He also has long hair and a thick beard. But the guy spends all of his spare time in the gym, working out like a champ. He's i insane shape. Plus he's married and has a kid and takes his kid everywhere with him. I know the guy and I know that he doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs...etc. This guy is 100% clean and aside from working out and hanging out with his kid, he focuses a lot of energy toward working and saving money so that he can open his own shop. He even takes business classes when he has time so that he can educate himself before opening his own shop. Sadly, he lives in a small town filled with typical redneck cops who see him and think he's on drugs, drunk, etc. He's had to exit his car and lie on the ground many times. I think it's total BS but I guess that's just the world that we live in.

Otherwise, they are reaching into your private life outside work and that is completely wrong. I'm paid for 8 hours work, not 24.
