I paid for eight semesters and one extra class. Not that much more fun.
However, still consider spending the full time there, but take advantage of having some early requirements out of the way. Consider double majoring or taking on a minor.

The problem with AP credit though is that often times it is just empty credit, meaning it gets you closer to the minimum credits needed for graduation but doesn't satisfy any pre reqs. In my case the only one that did was AP Calc which got me out of the math requirement for my major. English would have too had I taken and passed it with a 4 or 5.
The others just gave blank credit which I didn't need since I was way above the 128 credit at the end of four years. I suppose I could have scheduled better and finished early, but honestly unless it's a financial issue I don't know why anyone would want to leave college early.
Sorry for the long winded response. I suppose I should have just said congrats and moved on. |

For the last 3ish years no one in my entire school has gotten above a 3 on the AP Calc exam and we're no slouches. I actually kind of liked calc but i still only got a 2 and I was like only one of 3~4 that did.

Congrats to you!

At the time, I thought I had a pretty good Calc teacher, but he must have been great, I found the test to be incredibly easy, and I got a 5 on it.

Being a bio major, they informed me that while my 5 on the calc test technically enough to exempt me from taking the class and counting for credit, I still needed to take the calc for life sciences because it was more specific to my major.
Good news was I could sleep through class and was still head and shoulders above most people, and I got credit for the class. |

Very possibly my favorite movie. But if you watch, Samuel L. Jackson calls him Brett AND Brad in that scene. The fact that I know this means I've seen that movie too many times. |

BTW, I love that movie too. |

| | is, against all odds, still a scuba viking. | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Alta Loma, California | | went to freshman orientation & registered for my fall 2009 semester today [going to Cal-State Fullerton].
because of these tests [and the US history test I took last year], I'm exempt from:
-4 college math courses [because of my major (economics), I don't need to take any more math courses ]
-2 english classes [still have to take oral communications, then I'm done with GE english]
-2 history classes [US & government]
-1 economics class [principles of Macroeconomics]
so, that's almost a full year of classes that I've already got done. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
